The Fisherman’s Cabin is an Amish-built log cabin at the Steinhatchee property in Florida’s Big Bend, built to sleep four and stay out of the way of a group that came to fish. It has a queen bed, bunk beds, a fully equipped kitchen, a private bathroom, smart TV, and high-speed WiFi, plus a spacious front porch that gives guests a covered outdoor space to sort gear, clean fish, or sit with a coffee before the day starts. The property is fully fenced, gated, and pet-friendly, and Beth and Jeff are on-site to welcome every guest with homemade baked goods on arrival.

The Fisherman’s Cabin is located at 1033 Hwy 51 NE, Steinhatchee, FL 32359, in the Big Bend of Florida’s Nature Coast in Taylor County. The public boat ramp is a short drive south on Hwy 51. Redfish, speckled trout, flounder, and sheepshead are available in the Steinhatchee River and surrounding estuaries year-round. Grouper and snapper run nearshore and offshore during the warmer months. Scallop season on the Nature Coast opens June 15 and runs through Labor Day, drawing guests from across North and Central Florida to the Gulf’s shallow, clear scalloping grounds near Steinhatchee.
The fully equipped kitchen makes extended fishing trips practical: guests can cook the day’s catch, prep meals, and manage a full week or monthly stay without eating out for every meal. Boat parking is available on the property.
